Employer Services

This site offers a number of services for employers, including Employment Listings for advertising jobs, and the Employment Center, the facilitated interview space at the Annual Meeting. Employers must post a listing and register for the Employment Center in order to conduct facilitated interviews at the Annual Meeting.

$60 per week, per position (no discounts offered)

First Job: $275 ($325 after October 29)
Each additional job: $60 ($85 after October 29)

All registered employers receive:

  • Interview Hall use and ability to invite any registered Annual Meeting attendee to an interview*
  • Placement of job ad in the Annual Meeting edition of Employment Listings, available to candidates prior to the Annual Meeting
  • Icon next to your online ad indicating the position is registered for the Employment Center
  • Access to candidate credentials at the Employment Center and also online through February 15, 2019
  • Ability to interview any Annual Meetings registrant
  • Ability to reserve a Private Interview Room for an additional fee*

*Employers who register onsite will not be able to reserve Private Interview Rooms or Interview Hall space prior to arriving onsite.


Only people registered for the Annual Meeting may use the Employment Center on site. All search team members attending the Annual Meeting must be registered for it. You may register as an AAR or SBL member, joint member, or nonmember.

Center registration for employers opens on July 2, 2018 and is open through the Annual Meetings.

After October 29, you may still register online or by calling Employment Services. If you register after October 29, you will be required to pay an increased registration fee of $325.00 and also list your ad on Employment Listings for at least four weeks.

Only registered employers who are logged in may access the CV System.

The cost for this ad is not included with your Employment Center registration fee. Note: candidates are encouraged to begin reviewing Employment Listings and start applying for jobs in August.

CV Submission and Review System

Provided you have registered for the Employment Center, you can get to the CV System here, if you are logged in. If not, first log in here if you have an account. If not, create one here

Once you register with the Center as an employer, you can access CVs. Within two business days, you will be emailed instructions for sharing access with other search team members. CVs will be accessible until February 17, 2019.

CVs are categorized by field of specialization and searchable by both specialization and candidate name.

Private Interview Rooms

Employers who wish to arrange for a Private Interview Room in addition to semi-private booth space in the Interview Hall may request access to this limited space during preregistration. Private Interview Rooms are available for three-hour sessions at an additional fee. The time slots for 2018 are as follows:

In early November, all employers who have reserved Private Interview Rooms will receive an e-mail with instructions regarding the use of the room, including instructions to distribute to interviewees. Room numbers will not be available until the morning of your reservation. You can tell your interviewees to arrive at the Employment Center at least twenty minutes before their scheduled interview so that they can inquire at the Private Interview Room Check-in Desk and be sent to the proper location.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Employers

Is everyone on the interview team required to register for the Annual Meetings in order to use the Employment Center?

Yes, only those people who are registered for the Annual Meetings may utilize the Employment Center. You may register as either an AAR member, SBL member, joint member, or at the nonmember registration rate. All team members must be registered for the Annual Meetings.

To what services will my institution have access if we register onsite?

Institutions that register onsite will have access to the same services as those institutions that preregister with the following exception:

Onsite registrants cannot reserve Private Interview Rooms or Interview Hall space prior to arriving onsite. Space is on a first-come, first-served basis. We will try to accommodate your requests once you register onsite, but there are no guarantees that your top preferences will still be available.

We want to interview an Annual Meetings registrant. Does this candidate have to register with the Employment Center?

No. All registered Annual Meetings participants may interview as invited without registering for the Employment Center. However, an Annual Meetings name badge is required for admittance to all Annual Meetings activities and areas, including the Employment Center.

Does participating in the Employment Center guarantee that we’ll find someone to fill the position?

No, it does not. The Employment Center facilitates communication between candidates and employers. It is not a placement service.

How can my team inspect candidate credentials?

All registered candidates have the opportunity to file a CV. Registered employers will be able to view the CVs online until February 17, 2019. Candidates are not required to submit a CV, but they are highly encouraged to do so.

What is my Employment Center email address?

All employers are assigned a unique email that allows for confidential communication with candidates. Access information and instructions are sent to account holders just before the Annual Meetings. 

What is the difference between an interview booth and a Private Interview Room?

As part of the registration package, all registered employers receive booth space during Employment Center hours of operation. The booths are curtained units located in the Interview Hall, each containing one table and four to six chairs. The majority of registered employers use this space for their interviews.

Private Interview Rooms (hotel parlors or conference rooms) are available on a first-come, first-serve basis to Employment Center registrants for an additional fee. 

What are open interviews? What are prearranged interviews?

Open interviews are when employers set up interviews with candidates onsite. Interviews are arranged onsite and confirmed via email, a response is given, and a time selected and confirmed completely by the candidate and employer.

Prearranged interviews are when an employer schedules an interview with a candidate who has already applied for the position prior to the start of the Employment Center (generally the candidate has sent in an application through the job adt posted on Employment Listings). Such employers are not expected to respond to general inquiries.

Candidates will be responsible for checking their personal email regularly.

Where does an employer meet an interview at the time of an interview?

Candidates with interviews in the Interview Hall wait in the Candidate Lounge (located within the Employment Center). Employers meet candidates at the lounge to greet and escort them to their assigned booth space.

When an interview has been scheduled in a Private Interview Room, candidates will need to check with the Private Interview Room Check-in Desk, located within the Employment Center, to find out where they should go. Please instruct candidates that they need to inquire with the Private Interview Room Check-in Desk at least 20 minutes ahead of their scheduled interview as the distance between the Employment Center and the Private Interview Rooms can sometimes be a bit of a walk.
